would ban all abortions and contraception seemed a bit extreme. so i looked into it. turns out, romney doesn't oppose contraception at all. in fact, he thinks abortion should be an option in cases of rape, incest, or to save a mother's life. this issue's important to me, but i'm more concerned about the debt our children will be left with. i voted for president obama last time, but we just can't afford four more ars. the first of 1500 to set out from national harbor in maryland this morning. the largest, out-of-state deployment ever mobilized by that company. even with the extra help, it's messes like this that slows the crews down. the company that serves this and 13 other counties estimates it will be the coming week before all the power is restored. in essexfells, new jersey, news 4. >> gar et county maryland got hit with 30 inches of snow this week. many of the roads are still blocked off. some people had to use farm equipment to get around. there is the threat of yet another storm that could be snow in our area. doug cameron now is here to let us know when that might move in, doug. >> of course, that's the last thing anyone along the east coast wants to hear. a possible east coast snowstorm

and a possible storm from washington all the way up towards new york and boston. but i do think we're setting up for that pattern. we'll see a trough, a deep trough, along the east coast. that means that storm coming up from the gulf of mexico. it could mean rain for us and possibly snow. i'll break that down for you, but right now, it's all about current temperatures. 35 in winchester, 35 in gaithersburg. i'll let you know about the weekend plus what i think about our next storm coming up. >> okay, doug, thank you. now, to the final stretch for the race for the white house. both president obama and mitt romney battled the ohio tonight. mitt romney spoke to a large crowd in west chester. the president spoke in lie ma, ohio. he'll have one more stop in the buckeye stay before he heads to wisconsin, iowa and then northern virginia. his rally, jiffy lube live tomorrow.

>> today was the last day of early voting in maryland. and the lines wrapped around the building in some places, ased p their ballot. >> reporter: i can see that you're so cold, you're crying. >> yes, i am. >> reporter: dedicated voters were put to the test with early voting with lines that stretched outside of voting places. >> i waited in line for four hours. that's just too long. >> reporter: so far, an estimated 56,000 people have voted. that's only 10% of wh's registered. so the thought of what's coming on election day has some worried. >> the facilities that we're using are not -- don't have the can passty th t capacity that we need to really conduct early voting. >> the state's formula for early voting coupled with limited

space resulted in longer lines. she says don't expect the same thing for election day. with more polling police stations and machines, it woent be as long. >> we're looking at and have to make sure that we have enough yunts on election day. >> this is one side of the line and then it comes on here behind me and then at's the other side of the line. there's a longer wait once inside. now, prince george's county officials say this was their first time doing early voting during a presidential cycle and they've learned a lot. they'll be going to the state to see if they can make that happen. >> some new developments tonight in a brutal attack. police have just released a sketch of a man wanted f sexually assaulting a woman on the capital crescent trail. erica gonzalez joins us live.

>> reporter: doreen, police have spent the last two weeks searching for this individual. police tell us that a 21-year-old woman was jogging along the capital krcrescent trl when she stopped for crossing deal. moments later, inves ga ors say, she was hit in the head, dragged into the woods and sexually assaulted. when she came too, she managed to make it back to the trail and then another jogger took her to a nearby home for help. now, this is some more information that police have given to us is that there may be another gentleman, another man involved passing by on a bicycle. so if any of this rings a bell, also, the composite sketches of a man believed to be about six feet tall with light, brown hair. so if you've got any information regarding these two individuals,

you are urged to call montgomery county detectives. on the capital crescent trail, erica gonzalez, news 4. >> bail has been set at $2 million for a man accused of throwing pipe bombs in three homes. lawrence stuart is his name. he allegedly targeted his ex-girlfriend and two police officers this week before he fled to montana. investigators say he also tried to hurt police there. beginning on monday, you'll pay a little less if you get caught speeding in d.c. right now, tickets average between 75 and 100 dlarsz. today, the mayor announced plans to lower by 25 dlarsz. >> an increase also goings into effect on monday for those caught going 25 miles an hour or more.

a mother in northern virginia says her daughter was suspended from school, despite being the victim in this video.

it reportedly shows a fight at centerville high school last week. the teenager's mother says she warned the school before this happened. school officials say they take incidents involving bullies seriously but they will not comment on any specific disciplinary action. >> the tenth anniversary brought back a lot of painful memories for people many in our area. that includes mill dread, muhammad. tonight, she reveals how she moved on from hardship to find hope. >> october 23rd, my daughter take me to the police station for questioning. and that is when they told me that they were going to name john as the sniper. >> that was also when they would argue that her ex-husband was out to murder her.

and the 10 people that were just killed, that was just a cover. mill dread says john, allen muhammad was psychologically abusive to her. he december appeared with her three children. a judge issued a restraining order. mill dread moe hauhammad knew tf he saw her again, he would kill her. >> i think you would be surprised to know that other people have attacked you. >> they don't consider me or my children to be victims. there were people who said to me, or my face, or e-mail or letters, that if i would have stayed with john, he would have just killed me. >> after all you have been through, how do you cope with

that kind of thing? >> people were expressing the emotions out of pain. and if they could not get to john, then the next person would be me. >> reporter: at first, mildred worked hard to protect her family's privacy. but as the years have passed, she has channelled her pain and hardship into hope. she started a nonprofit web site dedicated to helping victims. everyone pays a painful, emotional price. >> you don't have to feel like you're alone. and you don't have to feel like this is your fault. >> it wasn't until the day her ex-husband was executed in 2009 she says she finally felt safe. >> my life was my own again. and i didn't have to look over my shoulder. >> milldred muhammad did not want to answer more interviews.

she did tell us that her three children have grown up. they're doing well despite their dramatic childhood. her son is hoping to become a professional football player. >> we turn to weather now and it has gotten down right chilly out there. >> it is cold. >> and the wind just bites right through you. it is too early to get this cold. temperatures in the upper 30s, lower 40s, winds still coming at us 15-20 miles an hour. out there today, we saw high temperature well below the average high. our high today, only 55. that was early in the day. and then we saw the winds come in, the clouds move back in and temperatures started to fall during the afternoon.

i think we'll see a little more sunshine this weekend. winds, gusty to 20 miles an hour at this time. dew point of 29. 41 in winchester, 43 in gaithersburg. look at fredericksburg. already down to 39 degrees. most of us will wake up in windchills in the lower 30s tomorrow. saturday, probably starting off the coldest that we've seen so far this season. satellite and radar continuing to stream in across the region with that northwesterly flow. we'll continue to see that flow tomorrow. i do expect to see some clouds, but, also, stlooes some sunshine out here. chilly, rathder breezy overnight
